Ammonium Chloride
Ammonium chloride is a colorless or white crystalline salt that is highly soluble in water. Ammonium chloride is sometimes used in wood burning to create unique patterns and designs on the surface of the wood. The process involves applying a solution of ammonium chloride, water and in some cases a thickener to the wood, followed by heating it with a torch or other heat source. The heat causes a chemical reaction that creates dark, charred lines on the surface of the wood, resulting in a distinctive and eye-catching appearance.
